The limited edition of the most awaited cider, "Sidra Sobre la Madre", is coming to an end. The first bottles of natural cider with the Trabanco Denomination of Origin went on sale last May, and in just over ten days we will be saying goodbye to the Cider on the Mother until next year. In fact, it is the fastest selling year, setting a new record in its three years of existence.
The llagar de Lavandera has been incorporated after 18 years with ed apple cider to the D.O. with the aim of tucking in the quality brand of the Principality and allowing it to double the number of back labels annually.
After three years of the creation by Trabanco of the brand "cider on the mother", this year several cider makers have decided to go for this style of cider and put this name on the bottles. Sidra Trabanco has been the last to go on the market, because Samuel believes that "cider should be sold when it is at its best and not before, the rush is not good advice". This has meant that they have been the last to appear, and yet the first to run out of stock despite the fact that it is the wine that has destined the most barrels for this type of cider, which shows the great acceptance it has.
Sidra Trabanco thus consolidates a unique product, cider in its purest form, without secrets, cider without racking, as it was originally made in houses and cider houses. Cider consumers are looking forward to the arrival of this cider every year and for the last three years it has had a large number of followers. Samuel Trabanco recovered La Sidra Sobre La Madre as a tribute to Vicente Trabanco, a great defender of cider that does not change the barrel and that reflects how the harvest has been, because it is neither mixed nor moved.
