This weekend the festivities of El Carmen are celebrated in Lavandera and Llantones. There will be three days of celebrations with a complete festive programme for the whole family. Verbenas, children´s games, drawing contests and homemade desserts, concentration of classic cars in the case of Lavandera and summer costume contest in the case of Llantones. Traditionally, the cider of these festivities has always been from Trabanco, but this year it is perhaps more endearing as the locals will be drinking cider made with their own apples during the festivities. Both the harvesters of La Lavandera and Llantones are regular suppliers of the llagar, and their raw materials are used to make the cider on the Mother with a Denomination of Origin.

Although this type of cider, which is not racked, is a limited production, Trabanco wanted to pay tribute to the harvesters of these parishes that the cider they can enjoy this weekend in their festivities is in which they have contributed their grain of sand, the Cider on the Mother.

From Saturday, July 7 to Monday, July 9, the fiestas of El Carmen will be accompanied by the best cider. Neighbours and visitors will be able to enjoy AIDS on the mother of Trabanco limited edition. For the third consecutive year this cider, which recalls the ancestral methods of production applied by Samuel´s uncle, Vicente Trabanco, and which consists of not decanting the product.

The vice-president of the fiestas committee, Mónica Piñera: "We are very proud, as we are not only neighbours but also apple growers and it is a pleasure for us to be able to enjoy and offer visitors a product that is very valuable to us, as it has a corner of every La Lavandera family. We are very grateful to Trabanco for giving us this opportunity.

For his part, from Llantones, Benjamín Loredo points out that "we think it is a fantastic initiative that has been very well received by the neighbours, it is a very beneficial thing that can help us to bring more people to the party".

So this weekend for Llantones and Lavandera she will run for the first time in her parties a lot of cider on her mother.

Sidra Trabanco has just joined the D.O. after 18 years with ed apple cider, with the aim of tucking in the Principality´s quality brand and thus allowing it to double the number of back labels per year.
